I wish, made a trip on the river before New Years but nothing since. I got a buddy that is chomping at the bit for the crappie to move shallow but I hope to be up long before that.

Don't hear much news on the river but they're catching Alpers in the lake like crazy. 'From shore' has been the hot spot cry, which is rare. Even heard of a couple hookups at Riverside Park in Kernville. The first load was dumped about 3-4 weeks ago in the southlake area. They've spread quite a bit. Expecting a couple more dumps before the Derby. Derby is shaping up to be a real bash. Even auctioning off a nice boat this year. Watch for more news on the Alpers. Hell of a fish fight with great taste to boot. Your Derby dollars at work.
