Sierra Way to Re-open

Roads Department Confirms long closed, Sierra Way will re-open at 1:00 pm today May 27th-
This will allow access and egress to Kernville and upper river areas from Hwy 178, instead of detouring miles around the lake.
Sierra Way has been closed due to landslides during rain storms. People coming to Kernville via Walker Pass were detoured around the lake to Hwy 155.

That is good news I have family heading to Rivernook this weekend. My trip is the last week of June. Cant wait. I didnt make it up last year and have been jonesing for some legitimate river fishing. The eastern sierras are nice, but I need to be waist deep in trout invested waters. The fish dont have a chance.
