River Flow

Postby kern50 » Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:45 pm

I just checked the river flow, down to 670cfs! I have never seen it that low this early in the season. I wonder what the flow will be like in July and August. Definetly not good for the rafters. I'm planning a fishing day trip to the upper Kern in a couple of weeks. I'll give a fishing report when I return.

The heck with the rafters, this is really bad for the trout.

Might be a good time to look for the lures you've lost over the years. Did that back in the late 50's or early 60's when the river dried up for a couple of years in August. Managed to find a few superdupers and a couple of spinners. These days I don't think F&G will allow SCE to divert water if flow gets too low.

Comin up this weekend. Anyone know what the fishing is like. Or even water conditions. I know water level is low but how's the clarity? Any info would be much appreciated
