Does anyone have the rules for the Big buck contest this year. I was up there this week but only glanced at them. I want a piece of the action.

I don't know but I am signing up. A friend of mine got an 8 x8 last year with a 28 1/2" inside spread. I think he would have won it hands down. I have seen quite a few from both areas I have tags for. I am going to stop by and sign up. Maybe the admin can chime in here. I am excited about this.

Sorry, we were not advised of the contest so, unfortunately, the Archery Pot entries are already expired and very little time is left to enter the General Pots. I picked up a copy of the rules today from John Strange at Sierra Gateway/Kernville. Hope you can get entered in time. 2011 BIG BUCK CONTEST RULES

1. Four Pots: Adult Archery, Jr. Archery, Adult Rifle, and Jr. Rifle (Jr. category is 15 years and younger)
2. First and Second Place Prizes for each Pot (to be determined)
3. Measurement on buck to be width of rack only. (In case of tie, total points to be counted)
4. Zones D8 and D9 ONLY. (No special draw hunts)
5. Must be entered by: Archery, 6:00 pm August 19, 2011 / General, 6:00 pm September 23, 2011
Entry fee is $20.00 for Adults and $10.00 for Juniors
6. Contest entrants to bring deer in by: Archery, 6:00 pm - Sept. 12, 2011 / General, 6:00 pm - Oct. 24, 2011
7. Deer must be brought in with antlers attached to skull.

Archery only season date: August 20-September 11, 2011
General Season Dates: September 24-October 23, 2011
