I have been spending a lot of time chasing tuna since I got back from dove hunting that is why I'm making dove report so late. They week before opener a storm along with a cold front went thru the area and drove a lot of the dove away. We had to stay out longer in the day but 4 out of 7 managed to get a limit. The others got around 10 each. We tried a different location 9/2 and had a real good hunt. Only 5 of us hunted that day and we all manage limits. We went down one more time the following weekend and had a pretty good hunt. Now it's back to chasing tuna. I have manage two decent ones so far. 50 lbs. and 35 lbs. along with two footballs. Most of which I canned.

Off to Yuma for my annual dove hunting ritual; Sept 1&2. It has been a 60 year ritual for me - started by my dad.

It has gotten more and more difficult to locate the good spots.
Much of the land(habitat) has been destroyed or posted. Not like the good old days.
